Bind the account immediately
Many mobile titles let you start playing without registering. That progress usually lives on the device alone, and clearing app data or changing phones erases it. Bind to an email or platform account in the first session, not the tenth.
Moving between devices
Where a game offers both browser and app versions — Elvenar and Heroes of History, for example — one account covers both, and you can move between them freely.
Keep a note of which login method you used. Recovering an account created through a social sign-in you no longer have access to is a slow process at best.
