Privacy policy

Avelentora is an independent editorial website published from Canada. We review free-to-play online games. We do not operate, host or distribute any of the games we write about.

This policy is written to reflect applicable Canadian privacy principles.

If you write to us through the contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you choose to send. We use those only to reply and to correct our listings, and we keep the correspondence no longer than it stays useful.

Our servers record standard technical logs — approximate location, browser type, referring page and the pages requested — so we can keep the site working and understand which reviews are read. These logs are aggregated and are not used to build a profile of you.

The save button on each listing stores your shortlist in your own browser's local storage. That list never reaches our servers, is not tied to any account, and disappears when you clear your browser data.

We do not sell, rent or trade reader information. When you follow an official link to a publisher, you leave this site and that publisher's own privacy policy applies — we have no control over what they collect.

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the editorial desk through the contact page and we will respond within twenty working days, as the Privacy Act requires.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page and describe the change here rather than replacing the text quietly.
